Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine

The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine (PVM), Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS), invites applications for a full-time (12 month) Assistant or Associate Professor position in Veterinary Ophthalmology. The position will be tenure-track or clinical-track depending on candidate qualifications. A DVM or equivalent degree, and board certification or board eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology is required. Candidates should have a sincere interest in providing outstanding clinical service, teaching, and building a collaborative or independent research program. Candidates with an MS or PhD degree in a field related to veterinary medicine are favored for a tenure track position.

Qualifications for the position include a DVM or equivalent degree, and board certification or board eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology. Candidates should have a sincere interest in providing outstanding clinical service, teaching, and building a collaborative or independent research program. Candidates with an MS or PhD degree in a field related to veterinary medicine are favored for a tenure track position. Candidates must possess excellent surgical and diagnostic skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills, and be able to work effectively with faculty, staff, students and house officers. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. A background check is required for employment by the University.
