The Ohio State University Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences invites applications for a full-time faculty position
(clinical-track
or tenure-track) in Small Animal Soft Tissue
Surgery. Applicants must have a commitment to excellence in clinical service and teaching. Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree. Specialty certification by the ACVS will be required. Individuals who will be ACVS board eligible are encouraged to
apply. An
advanced
degree
or equivalent
research
experience
is desirable
for
tenure-track
candidates.
The successful candidate will join a distinguished small animal surgery program that includes 9 ACVS diplomates, an instructor, a Fellow in Surgical Oncology and 8 surgery residents, in addition to a robust
small animal clinical faculty (https://vet.osu.edu/clinical-sciences/clinical-specialties/small-animal-services). The Veterinary Medical Center has state-of-the-art
facilities and equipment, including diagnostic imaging (128-slice CT, 3-Tesla MRI), an independent rehabilitation service and surgical capabilities at 2 locations: VMC-Columbus and VMC-Dublin. All clinical facilities, including the surgical suites were completely
renovated in 2017.
