The Western College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications from qualified individuals for
a tenure-track faculty position in Veterinary Medical Imaging at Assistant or Associate level
in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences.
The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include: quality instruction in medical imaging to undergraduate and postgraduate veterinary students; participation and organizational
responsibility for the clinical teaching and service programs of the Veterinary Medical Centre; and contributions to continuing education. Scholarship and clinical research in medical imaging will be encouraged and expected.
The WCVM is western Canada’s regional college of veterinary medicine. It is part of a comprehensive academic health sciences group on the university campus, with access to facilities
including the PET-CT, Canadian Light Source and the Biomedical Beamline and Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences. For further information, please visit

The Veterinary Medical Centre at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine is a state-of-the-art facility serving western Canada as an AVMA and AAHA accredited hospital and referral
centre. The advanced imaging equipment includes a soon-to-be-installed 320 detector row Toshiba Aquilion One CT scanner, Millennium MPR/MPS Gamma Camera with Genie AcQ software, Philips BV Pulsera C-arm Fluoroscope, 2 Toshiba Aplio 300 and Philips iU22 ultrasound
machines with multiple probes, 4 canon DR systems. MRI technology includes in-house Siemens Harmony 1.5 Tesla MRI and equine MRI in the new Ryan-Dube Equine Performance Centre. The McKesson Horizon Medical Imaging PACS provides access throughout the College
for consultation, diagnosis and teaching on clinical and research cases. The radiation oncology service operates a Clinac 21EX 6MV linear accelerator with electron capability, a 120 leaf Millennium multileaf collimator, OBI and CBCT allowing intensity modulated
and stereotactic radiation therapy in addition to conformal radiation therapy, with ARIA system and Eclipse planning system. Oncology faculty include a radiation oncologist and 2 medical oncologists and support staff includes a full-time radiation therapist.

Qualifications
Candidates must possess a DVM degree or its equivalent and must be eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Saskatchewan. Candidates must have diplomate status
or credentials acceptable to the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI) for Board examination at the time the appointment takes effect. Diplomate status in ACVR or ECVDI is required
for tenure.
Salary bands for this position are as follows:
Assistant Professor: $93,293 to $112,109; Associate Professor: $112,109 to $130,925; and Professor $130,925 to $152,877.
