The Department of Comparative, Diagnostic and Population Medicine at the University of Florida (UF) College of Veterinary Medicine (http://www.vetmed.ufl.edu)
is seeking highly-qualified applicants for a full‐time (12-month), state‐funded tenure‐track position as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Veterinary Microbiology. Applicants should have a DVM or equivalent degree with a PhD or suitable advanced
training in microbiology. Primary responsibilities for this independent position include 1) working collaboratively with and overseeing the microbiology section of the UF College of Veterinary Medicine Diagnostic Laboratories, 2) establishing a strong, independent,
externally-funded research program, and 3) didactic teaching and clinical training of professional veterinary students, graduate students and residents.
The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine provides a strong collaborative environment with opportunities to work with other UF academic units, such as other colleges in the Health Science Center (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, etc.), the Emerging
