certification

Veterinary Internal
Medicine (Neurology) or

31, 2017

required. Clinical
experience and
competence in
veterinary neurology
and
neurosurgery
is
required.
Demonstrated aptitude
and experience
in
teaching, particularly
clinical
instruction,
is required.
Documented record
of creative scholarship
or potential
to
develop
an independent
clinical
research program
in veterinary
neurology is
required. Must
possess
excellent interpersonal
and
communication
skills and
a demonstrated
ability
to
work with
others in
a
collegial team
atmosphere.
A
valid license
to
practice veterinary
medicine
in
California
is
now
required before
employment
(California
Business
and Professions
Code Section
4846-4857). Individuals
not eligible
for
a full
California
license
can
obtain
a University
License (California
Business
and Professions
Code Section
4848.1).
The
position
includes a
70%
clinical
effort
assignment to
the Neurology/Neurosurgery
Service
of
the William R.
Pritchard
Veterinary Medical
Teaching
Hospital
(VMTH). A
