The Department of Clinical Sciences at NCSU, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a tenure-track
Assistant Professor in Small Animal Soft Tissue and Oncologic Surgery.
Qualifications: Requires DVM or equivalent degree. Completion of a residency in companion animal
surgery is required by date of employment. Diplomate status in ACVS is preferred. Expertise in small
animal soft tissue and oncologic surgery is required. Candidates must meet requirements for a North
Carolina Faculty License, or regular North Carolina veterinary licensure.
Responsibilities: The selected candidate for this tenure-track position will: develop new knowledge in
the realm of soft tissue and oncologic surgery by conducting high quality collaborative research; provide
effective and efficient patient care and hospital management, and continually improve quality of care as
an integrated member of the surgery section and the teaching hospital as a whole; and develop
innovative and valued didactic and clinical learning experiences for veterinary students, residents,
interns, and veterinary practitioners.
Salary: Commensurate with candidate's experience and qualifications
