The Department of Clinical Sciences at NCSU, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a temporary Small Animal Soft Tissue & Oncologic surgeon.
Qualifications: Requires DVM or equivalent degree. Completion of a residency in companion animal surgery and ACVS board certification are required. Two years of experience post board certification is preferred. Expertise in small animal soft tissue and oncologic surgery is required. Candidates must meet requirements for a North Carolina Faculty License, or regular North Carolina veterinary licensure. Ability to work with a team and experience managing soft tissue and oncologic surgical veterinary patients. Ability to communicate to interact with the public. Ability to run a surgery service with training of DVM students, interns, and residents.
Responsibilities: Surgical instructor/locum on the Soft Tissue and Oncologic Surgery Service. Receive surgical cases referred to this service, perform appropriate diagnostics, perform appropriate surgical procedures, and oversee the post-operative management of these cases. Provide daily instructional rounds for 4th year veterinary students and house officers.

Salary: $100/hour
