Asst/Assoc/Full Professor of Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery (tenure track)
Veterinarian with advanced training in small animal orthopedic surgery and board certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. PhD or advanced research training in small animal
orthopedic surgery or orthopedic biology is preferred. Must have a documented research record or demonstrated potential to develop an independent research focus in small animal orthopedic surgery; emphasis on innovations in orthopedics is preferred. Research
interests that complement other orthopedic faculty are preferred. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in clinical instruction of DVM students and residents in small animal orthopedic surgery required. Demonstrated ability to develop creative instructional programs
for students in the classroom and laboratory is preferred. Demonstrated clinical administrative experience and effective leadership preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a
collegial team atmosphere. The position includes a 50% clinical effort assignment to the Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery Service of the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH).
