The Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a clinical track, assistant/associate/full
professor position in small animal soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and must have completed residency training in small animal surgery by the time of employment. Time will be allotted for ACVS Board preparation
for non-boarded applicants. Applicants will be considered for employment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor based on academic experience. The position expands the current surgical staffing of 4 ACVS-boarded surgeons, 3 surgical residents
and 4 technicians dedicated to the surgery suite and ward.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical service, veterinary and graduate student instruction, residency training, and support the
scholarly and academic missions of the department and VHC. Details and responsibilities of the position may be tailored to the applicant’s interests and goals.
The starting date is negotiable. Professorial rank is based on academic experience and accomplishments commensurate with departmental guidelines for each academic rank. Salary
will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
