The Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure track, assistant/associate professor position in Cardiology.  Applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and ACVIM or ECVIM board certification, Specialty of Cardiology or eligibility for board certification within the year.  Preference will be given to applications with an advanced degree (MS or PhD).

 

The successful candidate will join an established cardiology service with one board-certified cardiologist and a dedicated cardiology technician.  The candidate will provide didactic and clinical instruction in cardiology for veterinary students and house officers.  We seek candidates who are committed to building caseload by providing exceptional service and timely communication with our constituents.  He or she will contribute to the research goals of the institution, through either independent or collaborative research.  Excellent collaborative opportunities for research exist with faculty in the Departments of Anatomy and Physiology and Kinesiology.

 

The starting date is negotiable.  Professorial rank is based on academic experience and accomplishments commensurate with departmental guidelines for each academic rank.  Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
