The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant, associate or professor-level position in Veterinary Radiology.  Applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree, be ACVR or ECVDI certified, or be eligible to take the certifying examination. Competence in general radiography, diagnostic ultrasound, nuclear medicine, MR and CT is critical.

 

The successful candidate will join a radiology section that includes two board certified radiologists, three residents and three technicians.  Equipment includes large and small animal computed and digital radiology, state-of-the-art ultrasound, in-house 16 slice helical CT, low field MR, and nuclear medicine capability.  Directed clinical service will include delivery of elective and emergency imaging services to small, large, and exotic animal patients in the Veterinary Health Center.  Teaching responsibilities include instruction of veterinary students, interns, and residents in clinical rounds, and lecture environments.  Opportunities exist for collaboration across a broad range of basic and clinical sciences within the College of Veterinary Medicine.  We seek a person who can work well with others and help maintain a quality radiology program.

 

The starting date for the position is negotiable.  Professorial rank is based on academic experience and accomplishments commensurate with departmental guidelines for each academic rank.  Salary will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications.
