Clinical or Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Faculty Position Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery
Job Summary
Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine (PVM), Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS) invites applications for TWO part-time or full-time (12-month) Clinical or Tenure Track Position in Small
Animal Soft Tissue Surgery at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will become a member of the Small Animal Surgery Section that consists of Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopedic, and Neurology/Neurosurgery subsections as well
as the Physical Rehabilitation service. The small animal surgeons have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic (digital radiography, 64-slice CT scanner, 1.5T MRI, C-arm, ultrasound, scintigraphy) and recently updated surgical equipment (including a range of
minimally invasive equipment, a dedicated Storz tower, and 3 ForceTriads). The Surgery service works closely with other specialty services, including Emergency and Critical Care, Anesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology, Behavior, Dermatology, Community
Practice, Medical & Radiation Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Urology. Purdue Veterinary Hospital (dedicated in spring of 2022) has 11 state-of-the-art ORs (3 dedicated to Soft Tissue), ICU, intermediate care and general wards, dedicated treatment areas (including
soft tissue surgery) and full range of aforementioned diagnostic imaging facilities.
Qualifications
•DVM or equivalent degree
•Board certification or completion of a residency program registered by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) or the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS).
