Faculty Position in Surgical Oncology

The Department of Clinical Studies, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA is seeking applications for either a lecturer in Surgical Oncology or a faculty position (Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor) in Surgical Oncology, in the Academic Clinician Track. The majority of the successful candidate’s time will be devoted to clinical service in the Comprehensive Cancer Care program. Opportunity exists to participate in collaborative research projects, and to participate in occasional soft tissue or orthopedic surgical clinics, depending on the candidate’s interest. The Comprehensive Cancer Care program at Penn is a clinical service consisting of 3 medical oncologists, 1 radiation oncologist, 1 other surgical oncologist, and 5 full-time veterinary nurses (including 1 nurse specifically assigned to assist with surgical caseload), in addition to residents in medical oncology and surgery, and specialty oncology interns. Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree and be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgery, or have completed an ACVS approved residency. Preference will be given to ACVS Fellows in Surgical Oncology, but candidates who have not completed a surgical oncology fellowship will also be considered.
