ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN THERIOGENOLOGY
DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL SCIENCES
NCSU COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE
The Department of Clinical Sciences at the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in the field of Theriogenology.
Qualifications: DVM or equivalent degree in appropriate field and completion of a theriogenology residency and/or appropriate graduate training in reproductive physiology is required. Eligibility for USDA accreditation and full licensure in North Carolina is also a requirement for this position.
Responsibilities: Clinical teaching and case-management at the College of Veterinary Medicine and our satellite facilities. The clinical case-load includes routine and advanced techniques in companion animal theriogenology, with a current distribution of 70% equine and 30% canine cases. Additional responsibilities include the provision of consulting services for reproductive conditions in all domestic species and participation in teaching of house-officers in theriogenology and other specialty areas. Didactic teaching responsibilities will focus on teaching of comparative theriogenology to DVM students. All tenure-track faculty are expected to actively participate in “discovery of knowledge through discipline-guided inquiry” (research). The successful applicant will bring research skills and interest to expand the research portfolio of NCSU in Theriogenology through collaborative work and independent projects.
