The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech invites applications for the following Positions:

 

•             Diagnostic Imaging:  This position could be tenure-track or clinical-track based on the qualifications and desires of the successful candidate.  The successful candidate will join a team of four ACVR Diplomates.  The rank will be at Assistant or Associate Professor level based on qualifications of the applicant. Required qualifications include:  DVM or equivalent degree and board certification or board eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI).

•             Community Practice:  This is a clinical-track position.  The successful candidate will join a team of two ABVP Diplomates.  The rank will be at Assistant or Associate Professor level based on qualifications of the applicant.  Required qualifications include: DVM or equivalent degree, a minimum of 5 years of small animal practice experience and/or board eligibility or board certification in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) or American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).  Candidates without board certification would be expected to achieve ABVP certification as a consideration for additional reappointments.

•             Dermatology:  This is a clinical-track position.  The rank will be at Assistant or Associate Professor level based on qualifications of the applicant.  Required qualifications include:  DVM or equivalent degree.  Successful completion of an approved residency training program by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) and/or the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD).
