Description automatically generatedThe Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a lecturer/clinical instructor position in Zoological Medicine. This is a 1 year position and is 100% clinical and teaching. Interest in collaborative research will be supported. A DVM degree or equivalent is required. Minimal qualifications include previous small animal and zoological medicine specialty internship; however, residency training and/or board certification eligibility is preferred. Eligibility for faculty licensure in the state of Oklahoma is also required.  Duties will include clinical service and teaching including oversight of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Zoological Medicine service, training of house officers, didactic lectures, and laboratory instruction of veterinary students. The Zoological Medicine service includes 2 technicians and 2 house officers. The service has a very well-equipped ward with an approximately 2,000 sq ft area. The service primarily sees client owned exotic animals and native wildlife.

This position comes with 4 weeks of vacation. Funding support for conference (continuing education) travel is provided.  Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
