Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care or Health Sciences Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care 

 

Veterinarian with advanced training in small animal emergency and critical care. Completion of a residency program approved by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) by the effective date of appointment is required; ACVECC board certification is preferred. Clinical experience and competence in small animal emergency and critical care (SAECC) medicine is required. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in teaching is required. For the Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical SAECC position, a documented record of creative scholarship or the potential to develop a clinical research program in the discipline is required. Must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere. 

 

A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in California is required before employment begins (California Business and Professions Code Section 4846-4857). Individuals without a full California license must obtain a University License (California Business and Professions Code Section 4848.1) by the time of appointment.
