Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine (Phoenix metro area) invites applications for a faculty position in shelter medicine to join our three person shelter medicine program.  This is a full-time position and can be tenure-track or non-tenure-track, depending on the goals of the applicant.  The successful candidate will provide clinical instruction to students on shelter medicine rotations, a shelter medicine intern and rotating interns, will participate in mobile spay/neuter and TNR events, and will provide instruction to students in didactic courses and clinical skills laboratories within the DVM curriculum.

 

Our mobile clinic is used to provide mobile spay and neuter surgeries, minor surgical procedures, wellness exams, minor medical procedures and field medical diagnostics to shelters, rescues and underserved communities throughout the state of Arizona. In addition, shelter medicine faculty work with regional partners in a number of shelter facilities in the Phoenix Valley.
