The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences,
Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is seeking applicants for a clinical track or tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate professor in Theriogenology. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with
experience and qualifications. A DVM degree or equivalent, and completion of clinical residency training in theriogenology or equivalent are required. Board certification by the American College of Theriogenologists (ACT) is preferred. However, those qualified
to take the ACT certification examination are encouraged to apply.
Evidence of teaching experience, scholarly activity and ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere is essential. Eligibility for faculty licensure in the state of Oklahoma is required. Clinical theriogenology duties will be shared with three
other theriogenologists across our multi-species services, including after hour emergency services and mentoring of our two residents. We have thriving small animal, equine and farm animal caseloads, with excellent support equipment including in-house hormone
and semen analyses, TCI, TVA, semen cryopreservation, and other state-of-the-art capabilities. We enjoy resident herds of horses (mares and stallions) and cattle kept at the Oklahoma State University Center of Veterinary Health Sciences Ranch for teaching
and research purposes. Other associated duties will consist of providing didactic / clinical instruction of veterinary students, scholarship appropriate for the position, and consultations and collaborations with our fellow clinical faculty within our department
and teaching hospital.
Stillwater was named one of the best small towns in America. It has a population of approximately 45,000 located in central Oklahoma, approximately 60 miles from Tulsa and Oklahoma
City. Numerous activities are available including camping, hiking, golf, tennis, state parks, lakes for boating and fishing, theatre productions, rodeos, the excitement of Big XII sporting events and more.
